This is a symbolic necklace to honour the energy of the Triple Goddess which is reflected in the crystal beads I've chosen: Red Garnet, Rainbow Moonstone and Ice Obsidian. The centrepiece is a beautiful almost heart~shaped piece of raw Red Garnet to represent the heart of a woman.
 
The Triple Goddess or Maiden/Mother/Crone represents the three iconic stages in every woman's life; the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. They can also be seen as the Waxing Crescent, Full and Waning Crescents of the lunar cycle. Hecate the ancient Greek Goddess is a Triple Goddess as is the Celtic Morrigán.
 
Rainbow Moonstone, Red Garnet and Ice Obsidian represent these three aspects perfectly:
 
~ Rainbow Moonstone for The Maiden: feminine intuition, inception, enchantment, lucid dreaming 
~ Red Garnet for The Mother: fertility, self confidence, personal power, devotion, sexuality, life
~ Ice Obsidian for The Crone: wisdom, inner truth, self control the ending of a cycle 
 
The total length of the necklace from end to end measures 44cm, with the pendant measuring 3cm high by 2cm at its widest point. All fixtures and fittings are made from Sterling Silver.

*A Word About Gift Wrapping*
 
I carefully gift wrap each order before I send it out. Each piece of jewellery is first placed into a natural jute bag or recycled card gift box containing a personalised hand written small note addressed to the recipient. This I then wrap in tissue paper, tied together with a pretty ribbon or cord, and will often include a sprig of dried flowers or a small piece of West Cork Sea Glass.
