Hag-Stone Knotted String Charm. Hag Stones are known by many different names such as Holey Stones, Hex Stones, Odin Stones, Wish Stones and even Witches Riding Stones. The hole running through them is naturally formed by the action of water and they are fairly rare; usually found on the sea shore.

The old belief that harmful magic can not work on running water may help to explain why these natually hollowed stones are so powerfully protective. Historically they were linked with protection from many forms of magic and thus highly valued.

This traditional charm is made with an uneven number of hag stones strung on to a piece of twine. Every stone has several knots tied between them with each knot tightened as a protective charm is spoken out loud, binding the protective power into every knot.

Available in a choice of Small, Medium or Large 5 or 7 knotted Hag Stone Charms.
