The Cailleách Bronze Statue

The Cailleách is the ancient Celtic crone goddess; who has her dominion over winter, death, transition, storms and change. She is most often depicted as an elderly woman, although she can appear in many guises. 

Here she is depicted crouching down with rough pigtails hanging beneath her veil. She holds a large wooden staff in one hand and a wooden mallet in the other.  Sitting beside her is a howling wolf. She carries a belt of skulls that hang around her knees.

She has been cold cast in bronze and carefully handpainted to finish. A stunning addition to a winter or Solstice altar.
